My J Crew picks for spring

Every season Jenna, the style director of J Crew, picks her favorite items....so I thought I'd take a page from her book and post some of my favorite pieces so far....

This is a sequined leather, let me reiterate, sequined leather (!) dress. Most people know I love anything that sparkles, so obviously I'm attracted to this. But other than the sequins I really love the color and quality of the leather, it hangs really well on the body, and I love the cut too. Just makes you wish you had $1,800.

I like this dress because it makes a plain silhouette a little more special. It may not be the most flattering shape for most people's body types, it has no defined waist and horizontal stripes across it, but on the tall rail thing model it looks great!

I just want to pretend to be a ballerina in this dress! It is so floaty and romantic and feminine, I love it! I can see it with a huge chunky necklace and a leather bomber jacket....

This is a bathing suit. I know, I know, you don't believe me. But it's true. If I were ever to go to a fancy bathing suit party, this is what I would want to wear. I love ruffles, and they are a good thing to keep in mind for bathing suits because they do wonders to hide or enhance body parts that may not be on the "favorite body part" list. If they are on the bust, like these are, they can make cute little boobs look a bit bigger. And if they are lower on the tummy area, they can mask some jiggly bits! I just love this because it is modern with a whisper of vintage thrown in, my fav!

I love these shoes! They look a little blah in this picture, but are super sexy on the foot (look at the second picture to get an idea. I love that they are a bit clunky, and I love suede. But they are on most of the new pictures, and are styled really well, from jeans with socks to little mini skirts. They are on my lust list.
